He is survived by: his former wife Frances Kathleen Majerle; his wife Shelley Penney; his children, Angela Cory (Jonathan), Lisa Berta (John), Christine Atkinson (Jack), Marty Penney (Melissa) and Michael Penney (Katelyn); his stepson Matthew Forsgren (Amity); and his sister Ruth Nolf. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
