He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edwards and Josephine Sarah Edwards (Hooker); his grandchildren, Sarah Dodde and Ryan Edwards; and his siblings, Donna Anderson and Raymond Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Jayne G. Platz; his children, Cynthia Koschmider (Tim Swinehart) of Jennings, Cathi Nowland of Cadillac and Timothy Edwards (Trisha) of Cadillac; his grandsons, Jon Koschimider and Devin Edwards; his great grandchildren, Ian, Eli, Emily, Chelsea, Kyle and Addyson; and his sister Mary Jane Mongar of Cadillac. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
