He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thurston and Alberta Thurston (Jennison); his stepfather Ed Ingram; and his siblings, Charles and Betty Beauprie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Thurston (Carlson); his sons, Gary Thurston (Judy) of Grand Rapids, MI and Rick Thurston of Cadillac; and his grandchildren, Adele, Connor, Devin and Jennise (Strifler).
