He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Ruth Shaw (Alspaugh Cowgill). He is survived by: his father Arthur Eugene of Hillsdale; his wife Susanne Marie Carlson; his children, Rebecca Ann Shaw of Manton and Thomas Allen Shaw of Cadillac; and his sisters, Karen Woodard (Ronald) of Hillsdale and Linda Doolittle (Gary) of Kalamazoo.
