She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Lee Smedley and Ema Jean Smedley (Lietz); and her brothers, Joe Smedley, Dell Smedley and James Lee Smedley.

She is survived by: her son Chris Smedley (Ann); and her sisters, Marilyn Leo and Barbara Shealey. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.
