With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Nichols (Cadillac, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on July 29, 2016 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Heeringa and Elizabeth Heeringa; and her son Richard Ray. She is survived by: her aunt Annie; her friends, Virginia and Meg; her former husband Louis Nichols; her sons, David (Kathleen Ray), Thomas Ray (Janet Shick), Russ (Mary Nichols), Randy (Gail Nichols) and Rocky (Pam Nichols); her grandchildren, Christian Ray (Elisabeth), Matthew Ray (Kim), Steve Nichols, Abby Lorenz (Alex), Becky Van Spronson (Jason), Ann Wiersum (Dan), Ben Nichols (Amber), Lindsey Peters (Nate), Justin Nichols (Amber) and Austin Nichols; her sister Joann Derby; her nephew Michael Sabik (Laurie); and also Rick. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
