He was predeceased by: his parents, Ortis Eugene and Angeline Nancy Payne (Bragg); and his siblings, Clifford Payne (Eunice), Elmer Payne, Leoma Rickard (Hayes) and Bernice DeWitt (Harlan).
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Payne of Cadillac; and his children, Karen Woodard (Michael) of Abbotsford, B. C., Kenneth Payne of Cadillac, Connie Finstrom (Greg) of Florida and Keith Payne (Darcy) of White Cloud. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
