He was predeceased by: his parents, Stayne Walter and Dorothy Lillian Jarvela (Haitlen); his daughter Heidi Jarvela-Delcotto; and his siblings, John "Jack" Jarvela and Karen Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lynn Marzec; his children, Christopher Jarvela of Redford and Heather Jarvela (Jim Johnson) of Lake Orion; his granddaughter Maya Delcotto of Livonia; and his sister Charlene Lang of Arcadia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Cheyboygan County Humane Society.
