He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Derks and Evelyn Derks; his stepfather Orie Koppenol; and his brother-in-law Donald Jarka. He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Jarka, Mary Meengs (David), Henry Derks (Liz) and Randall Derks (Vanessa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
