She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Workman and Marcella Workman; her husband Donald Schurkamp; and her daughter Donna Schurkamp-Sweers. She is survived by: her brother Brian Workman (Ruth); her daughters, Brenda Kool (John), Kay Herp (Jack), Lois Rottier (DJ) and Edwinna Schurkamp; her son-in-law Peter Sweers; her caregivers, Kris Northrop and Shannon Strader; and her granddaughter Carrie Wood. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (4330 18th St, Dorr, MI 49323). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Carlisle United Methodist Church (1084 76th St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315).
