Margaret Pamment Obituary
Margaret G. Pamment, age 93, daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Schrauben) Martin died at her home in Byron Center, MI on September 21, 2008. She was born in Westphalia (Riley Township), MI on July 12, 1915, the seventh of ten children. Her parents, her five sisters and her four brothers all died before her, as did her beloved husband, Harold (in 1982), her youngest daughter, Christine (in 1997) and her oldest son, Gary (in 2008).
Surviving are her six sons: Fr. Duaine H. Pamment, Roger J. (Shirley) Pamment, Charles C. (Susanna) Pamment, Melvin M. (Karen) Pamment, David L. (Denice) Pamment and Robert D. Pamment; and her two daughters: Linda C. Weller and Patricia A. Topping. She also has 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret and Harold both retired from the State of Michigan in January of 1978, at which time she took up golf. She enjoyed the game immensely and last played in September of 2007 at the age of 92. Her other interests included card playing, sewing, traveling, crossword puzzles and her loving family who will miss her greatly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Laingsburg. Family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Church. A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing. Memorials can be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church.
