He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Black and Roberta Black; his brother Gregg; and his nephew Landon. He is survived by: his wife Betsy; his children, Don Black (Safah), Jason Black (Rachael) and Kelsey Krizan (Cam); his grandchildren, Jet, Zane, Jack, Isla, Wyatt, Eli, Cade, Kyler and Claire; and his siblings, Craig Black (Sherry) and Wendy McGillicuddy (Tim).

Memorial donations in memory of Jeff may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or Faith Hospice.
