She was predeceased by: her father John Westphal; her daughter Beth Nielsen; her granddaughter Alissa Farrell; her former husband Roger Alberda; her sister Mary Westphal Grasiewicz; her nephew Darwin Miller; and her niece Mary Gray.
She is survived by: her mother Gertrude Westphal (DuBois); her children, Michael Alberda (April), Gregory Alberda (Judy), Susan Hoogeveen, Brian Alberda (Lorie) and Patricia Farrell; her grandchildren, Nathan Nielsen and McKenna Nielsen; and her great grandchild Bellamy Alberda. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
