He is survived by: his wife Debra; his sons, David Tompkins and Andrew Tompkins (Angela); his grandchildren, Summer, Jasper, Paige, Asher and Declan; his mother Jeanette Tompkins; and his siblings, Linda Noblit (Jeff), Doug Tompkins and Terry Ostrander (Don). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Byron Center United Methodist Church (2490 Prescott St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315).
Memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to Faith Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
