He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Cheney and Mary Alice Cheney (McGraw); and his siblings, Georgia, Linda, Tom and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Sena Mogensen; his children, William Cheney Jr. (Pam) of Grand Blanc, Jensine Cheney Ramsay of Burton, Nancy Wilson (Wayne) of Climax and Nelson Cheney (Victoria) of Burton; his grandchildren, Alissa, Trinity, Jakob, Jayna, Aubrey, Will, Faith and Dakota; his sisters, Judy, Sally and Janice; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Jean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
