He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKenna and Pauline McKenna (Powell); his siblings, John McKenna Jr., Dale McKenna, Virginia Payne and Nancy Ketterer; his nephew Justin McKenna; and his great-niece Krystle Tennant.

He is survived by: his siblings, David McKenna (Kari) of Swartz Creek and Patricia McKenna of Burton; and his friends, Don Tanner Scott and Char Spangler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the McKenna family. Tom was a good friend and we enjoyed talking hockey. He had a great passion for the local hockey teams in Flint and his favorite NHL team the Pittsburgh Penguins. We both enjoyed the IHL teams and got to know some of the players and make the road trips to out of town games. Tom will be missed by his family and all of the hockey friends he made over the years. He loved collecting hockey pucks, lapel pins, and programs.Thanks Tom for everything”
