It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Joyce Byrne of Burton, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Neva Shipley; her significant other Joseph Johnson; her father Kenneth Shipley I; her aunt Frances Kallander; and her brother Kenneth Shipley II.
She is survived by: her daughter Shawn Johnson Richard; her nephew Jeffrey Johnson; her grandchildren, Stephanie Richard, Brandon Richard and Mikel Polley; and her siblings, Irene Shipley Brasseur (Ron) and Larry Shipley (Margaret). She is also survived by other loving family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, in Shirley's memory.
