She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Rutgers and Winifred Rutgers; and her brother Roger. She is survived by: her husband Jay Van Houten; her children, Lavina Wynalda (Bruce), Bruce Van Houten (Cristina) and Maxi Bazuin (Mike); her grandchildren, Ed, Alex Van Houten, Matt Wynalda (Eve), Jeff Wynalda (Colleen), Cassie Ryzenga (Ross) and Carly Daugherty (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Eden, Elise Wynalda, Claire Wynalda, Hudson and Graham Ryzenga.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Zaagman's Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel.
