He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Gean and Cora Gean (Hyde); and his sisters, Emma, Grace, Rosa Lorene, Christine, June, Thelma, Margaret and Jeannette.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gean; his children, Kendra Lavengood, Kandy DeWitt (Lee), Kristal Fernandez (Mark Jones) and Richard Franklin Gean, Jr.; his nieces, Patsy and Annette Gear; his grandchildren, Zak Lavengood (Jamie), Brittnae (Henke), Cora Carlson (Zak), Allie Brode (Chris) and Karlee Weissend; and his sisters, Joyce Kogler (Alvino DeSoto) and Victoria Mcguirk. He is also survived by other loving family members and good friends.
