It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James C. Cokley of Burton, Michigan, who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of James C. Cokley to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cokley and Vesta Cokley (Long); his children, Laura Angel Cokley and William Cokley Sr.; and his son-in-law Kevin Haas.
He is survived by: his wife Desoline Cokley; his children, Linda Leach (Randy), John Cokley (Michaelle), Lisa Haas and James Cokley (Ellen); his daughter-in-law Marites Cokley; and his grandchildren, William J. Cokley Jr. (Danielle), Matthew Leach (Deepti), Marianne Graham (Joshua), Mark Leach, Rourke Haas, Heidi Haas, John Cokley (Paige) and Kayden Cokley. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423). A rosary will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "James and Desoline Cokley Family Fund" through the Community Foundation of Greater Flint or St. John Catholic Church.
