He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Sergent and Margaret M. Sergent (Manzer); his wife Doris Jean Farmer; his daughter Debra Sears; his son-in-law Gary Jordan; and his siblings, Elaine Lamb (Fred), James "Bud" Sergent, Faith VanTress and Neil Sergent (Carolyn).
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Jordan, Denise Novak, Linda Sergent and Bethany Skellenger (Kevin); his son-in-law Jim Sears; his sister Nancy Hutt; his siblings-in-law, Louise Sergent and Terry VanTress; and his granddaughter Allison Skellenger. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
