She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ellis and Nora Ellis (Ramsey); her spouse Lytle "Bud" Goforth; her children, Jerry Cox and Virginia Ellen Goforth; and her siblings, Odda Trotter, Margaret Barnes and Nina Cowan.

She is survived by: her daughter Debi Howard (James); her grandchildren, Daniel Cox (Martha), Kimberly Ballard (Steve) and Neena Hudson; her niece Mary Ratza; and her great grandchildren, Gabriella Ryerson, Morgan and Carter Cox. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
