He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCombs and Opal McCombs (Combest). He is survived by: his wife Shari McCombs; his children, Vicki Slayton (Jim) and Keith McCombs (Nadine); his grandchildren, Chrissy Fuller (Josh), Cortney Vanaman (Paul) and Robert Slayton; and his great grandchildren, Maddie Fuller and Lyla Vanaman.
