He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McLaren and Catherine McLaren (Zimmers); his wife Carol Jarvis; and his siblings, John, Dorothy, Shirley, Frederick and Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Johnson (Matthew), David McLaren II, Daniel McLaren (Jennie) and Amy Seeback; and his sisters, JoAnna McDonaugh (Virgil) and Nancy McLaren. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
