Anthony Fedewa Obituary
FEDEWA, Anthony "Tony" - Of Burton, age 56, died Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A memorial service will be held 11am Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Chaplain Ken Gillard and Sheriff Chris Swanson co-officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday, July 5, 2023 and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Anthony "Tony" was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 15, 1966, the son of Anthony and Dorothy (Stec) Fedewa.
On November 11, 1997, he married Sherry Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tony served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Bragg and also in Panama in the Panamanian Invasion. He was a member of VFW Post #822.
Tony was a Deputy Sheriff with the Genesee County Sheriff's Department and served with the Honor Guard. He was formerly part owner of Gallagher Security and also did tour security with various bands and entertainers. Tony enjoyed playing darts and playing pool at the Red Baron, Michigan football, watching TV Land, enjoyed good food, and gin and tonics were his drink of choice.
Surviving are wife, Sherry; daughters, Danielle and husband Cody Ryder and Autumn Fedewa; mother, Dorothy Shader; father and mother-in-law, John and Linda Miller; brother Steven and wife Mary Fedewa; sister, Robyn and husband Damon Anderson; brother-in-law, Scott Miller; aunt, Sister Catherine Fedewa Sr.; and many nieces and nephews and his fur babies. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony "Big Tony" Fedewa.
