He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mathenia and Melvina Mathenia (Wright). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Charles; his children, Erik Mathenia (Amy) and Niki Pyrc (Ray); his grandchildren, Joshua, Chantelle, Gabrielle Pyrc, Madeline, Jens and Danica Mathenia; his siblings, Harold Mathenia and Mary Hockaday; and his friend Gene Wylie. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
