She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Newman and Barbara Newman (Duncan); her husband Melvin Diffin; her sister Mary Newman; and her nephew Thomas Hertel.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Mahfouz (Wissam) and Bradley Diffin; her grandchildren, Olivia Diffin, Alexander Diffin, Jamie Diffin, Taylor Diffin, Adrien Diffin and Muhammad Mahfouz; her great grandchild Elliot Cline; her sisters, Jane Watson and Susan Hertel; and her niece Lana McCoy (Jerrell).
