He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Whiting and Anita Whiting (Bouts); his brother Stephen Whiting; and his father-in-law James Dargie. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Whiting; his children, Matthew Whiting and Michelle Whiting; his grandchildren, Brandon Socha, Will Socha and Arianna Norton; his brother Michael Whiting (Jen); his mother-in-law Charlotte Dargie; his sister-in-law Marlene Miller (Gary); his nieces and nephews, Chad Weatherbee (Molly), Jason Weatherbee, Amber Trierweiler (Bob) and April Cline; and his close friend Charles Vlk (Lois).
