It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Matthew James Cox of Burr Oak, Michigan, born in Sturgis, Michigan, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Cox and Marietta Cox (Wilson); and his grandparents, Gathel, Ken and Dorothy Cox.
He is survived by: his former spouse Kim Brandebury; his wife Meggan Smith; his daughter Linsey Cox of Three Rivers; his grandson Leighton Elder; his stepchildren, Michael Giggy of Chicago, Morgan Giggy of Detroit and Danielle Crawford of Vicksburg; his brother Marc Cox (Donna) of Sturgis; his nephews, Dustin Cox (Katie) of Chicago and Jalen Cox of Colon; his great-niece Kendall Cox; and his brother James Miller of Fort Myers.
Due to the current conditions with the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on gathering a celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
