He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Smith and Viola Smith; and his children, Julia Smith, Joyce Smith and Richard Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Smith Jr (Sue Smith) and Pam G. Smith of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Karissa Smith Garn, Jessica Smith Glass and Eric Hapeman; his great grandchildren, Cage and Caleb; his siblings, Evert Smith (Linda) of Bronson and Janice Smith of Milwaukee; his friend Monique; and also Sturgis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the family to help with expenses.
