It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerritt Dale Schaffer of Buckley, Michigan, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Schaffer and Louis Michels; and his brother Carl Schaffer. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Schaffer of Buckley, Jonathon Schaffer of Fife Lake and Scott Baldwin (Victoria) of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Collin Schaffer and Avery Elizabeth Schaffer; his sister Marie Schaffer of Traverse City; his nieces and nephews, Nick Schaffer, Justin Schaffer, Kate and Kaylee Trowbridge; and also Roxanne Trowbridge.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Forest Area Credit Union in the names of Jessica and Jonathon Schaffer.
