He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Gardner and Alice Gardner (Koos); his former wife Prudence "Prudy" McLallin; and his brother Willard "Dick" Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Louann Gardner of Buchanan; his children, Derek C. Gardner (Chanyang) of Busan and Annette G. Burkhart of Kalamazoo, MI; his grandchildren, Alexander Gardner, Benjamin Burkhart and Channing Burkhart; his stepdaughter Nicole Johnson (Steve) of St. Joseph; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob, Ben, Gabriel and Greyson; his siblings-in-law, Kay Gardner, Penny Johnson, Paula Routson, Pia Brauser (Dan), Peggy McLallin and Michael McLallin (Dianne); and also Kevin M. Burkhart of Kalamazoo, MI.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church - Buchanan (115 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (115 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107).
