He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaniel Homer Nelson and Polly Arsenow Nelson; and his siblings, Homer Leon Nelson and Christine Jones. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nelson; his daughters, Angela Nelson-Millar (Bill), Linda Ray and Vanessa Smithey; his grandchildren, Lauren Millar, Brittany Ray, Zachary Manross and Danelle Manross; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Aker, Triston Aker, Dakota Hubbard and Travis Ritchie.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hoven Funeral Home (414 E Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107).
