He is survived by: his children, Loren Gustafson Jr. (Georgia), Lee Gustafson (Cyrina), Becky Hartman (John), Brenda Gustafson and Joy Gustafson; and his siblings, John and Adele. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
