He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vitek and Mary Vitek; and his siblings, John Vitek Jr., Henry Vitek and Mildred Vitek-Feather.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Nowaczewski; his children, Terrence Vitek (Silvia), Steven Vitek (Paula) and Connie Van Es (Tony); and his grandchildren, Leandra Vitek, Jonathan Vitek, Sydney Van Es, Kate Van Es and Julia Van Es.
