He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold DeWitt and Genevieve DeWitt (Bay); his son Darrick M. DeWitt; and his siblings, Wathena, Joan and Duane.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley DeWitt; his children, Darren DeWitt (Kimberly), Darryl DeWitt (Loretta) and Suzan DeWitt; his grandchildren, Darrick C. DeWitt (Jasmine Podell), Carl Case (Emily), Kyle DeWitt and Aaron DeWitt; and his sister Jill Sobieralski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
