He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Flanagan and Hazel Flanagan (Fay); his son Tad Flanagan; and his sisters, Almeta and Martha Pruett.

He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Flanagan; his son Tim Flanagan (Renee); his daughter-in-law Lisa Flanagan (Dave Cox); his grandchildren, Amanda Acker (Jim), Travis Flanagan and Joshua Flanagan; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Acker and Gretchen Acker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
