He was predeceased by: his father Edward Burns, Sr.; his sister Patricia Burns-Thomas; his aunts, Odessa Moss and Evelyn Miles; and his nephews, Tyler Burns and T'Yon Horston.
He is survived by: his mother Jean Burns of Buchanan; and his siblings, Vanessa Burns of Niles, Tony Burns (Andrea) of Edwardsburg, Linda Burns-Phillips (Steve) of Buchanan, Carol Burns of South Bend, IN, Priscella (Johnnie), Jay C (Mildred), James Burns (Lisa), Donald Burns, Phyllis Holmes (Mark) and Percinder Burns of Detroit, MI.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
