He is survived by: his wife Frances Smedley; his children, Mark Smedley (Nicole) and Lynette Stapleton (John); his grandchildren, Johnny Stapleton, Ashley Stapleton and Allyson Harper (Michael); his great grandchildren, Connor Stapleton, Caleb Karamalegos, Madilyn Wysong, Eli Stapleton and Scarlett Harper; and his siblings, Monna Smith, Gerald Smedley (Clarice), Kenneth Smedley (Anne), Lorretta Stricklet, John Smedley (Karen), Mary Rowe and Janine Stombaugh (Doug).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoven Funeral Home (414 E Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
