He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hanover and Marguerite Hanover (Klasner); and his siblings, Dale, Robert, John Hanover and Nancy Thompson.
He is survived by: his niece Yolonna Fay (David) of Buchanan; his son Joshua Hanover; and his granddaughter Gracie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Gene's name may be given to Buchanan Christian Church.
