He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel and Marion; and his brothers, William Ruth and Donnie Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Cheryl Lloyd (Jack), Robert Ruth (Vicky), William Ruth (Kelley), Richard Bassler and Brynne Bassler; and his sister Judy Narragon (Buzz). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
