He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Kennedy and Elsie Kennedy (Monroe); his former wife Alice Kennedy; his wife Lois Kennedy; his son Keith Kennedy; and his siblings, Helen Burack, Floyd Kennedy and Leland Kennedy.

He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Martus (Dennis); his grandson Jarrett Martus; his stepchildren, Julie Rasmussen, Jeff Takacs (Helen) and Laura Takacs (Dominic); and his brothers, Lawrence Kennedy (Janice) and Jim Kennedy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with many friends and neighbors.
