He was predeceased by: his parents, Versal Cournaya and Mary Cournaya (Holmberg); and his siblings, Jerry Cournaya and Mary LaPratt. He is survived by: his wife Renee Cournaya; his children, Ray Cournaya and Robin Cournaya; his grandchildren, Devin Cournaya, Derrick Cournaya, Dillyn Robinson, Delanie Stanley, Tustin Cournaya, Nadrina Cournaya and Keaton Cournaya; and his siblings, Richard Cournaya (Noreen), Patrick Cournaya (Jean), Mike Cournaya (Sandy) and Betty Cournaya (Jamie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
