He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sloat and Betty Sloat (Dunny); his wife Candace Sloat; and his siblings, Jimmy and Connie.
He is survived by: his son Jason Sloat; and his grandchildren, Makenna, Brielle and Greisha Sloat.
