He is survived by: his children, Joel Peterson (Nancy) of Brooklyn, Russell Peterson Jr (Cathy), Jackson Johns and Martha Peterson Johns of Jackson; his sister Lela Conant of Jackson; and his grandchildren, Cathy, Patricia, Joel Jr., David, Brandt, Jamie and Jennifer.
