She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Cooney and Teresa Cooney; her husband Grant Smith; her children, Tim Smith and Debbie Smith; and her brother Robert Cooney.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Maranon-Smith (Sylvia), Nancy Steffes (Paul) and Rob Smith; her siblings, Melvin Cooney (MaryAnn), Bernard Cooney (JoAnn) and Elaine Latulipe; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Cooney. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Rita's Catholic Church (10516 Hayes Rd, Clarklake, MI 49234).
