He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Knutson and Harriet Knutson; his stepfather Frank Ledwein; his siblings, Donald Knutson (Murphy), Barbara Wiegand (Wes) and Tommy Knutson; and his stepsiblings, Patricia Ledwein-Kittok and Bill Ledwein.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Knutson; his children, Tom Knutson (Joy) and Tonya Springer (Dave); his grandchildren, Cayla Upham (Parker), Topio Knutson (Amanda), Dakota Springer and Stella Springer; his great grandchildren, Sabastian Upham and Bently Upham; his uncle Ronnie Thomas (Nancy); his stepsiblings, Jack Ledwein (Joanne), James Ledwein (Jean) and Kathleen Smith (Robert); and his friend Herman Elinsky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
