It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Michael Knofski Sr. of Brooklyn, Michigan, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Otto and Bernice Ida Knofski (Burghardt); his wife Marian Cecile Pearson; his granddaughter Gail Milligan; his great grandchild Christa Milligan; and his siblings, Nancy Lauseng, Paul and Patrick Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Knofski Jr. (Cindy) of Howell, MI, Diane Milligan of Jackson, MI, Henry Knofski (Debbie Winzeler) of Hartland, MI and Laurie Smither (Lee) of Onsted, MI; his siblings, Jim Knofski (Marilyn) of Gregory, MI, Michael Knofski (Rosemary) of Belleville, MI and Betty Pearson of Gulfport, FL; his brother-in-law William Pearson (Kathy) of Romulus, MI; and his grandchildren, Joshua Knofski (Lindsay) of Lakeway, TX, Andrew Knofski of Torrence, CA, Angela Knofski of Westland, MI, Tabitha Knofski of Westland, MI, Scott Milligan of Dearborn, MI, Russell Milligan (Amber) of Monroe, MI, Christine Milligan (Doug Shepherd) of Jackson, MI, Diana Dubois (Dan) of Jonesville, MI, Sara Smither (Sean O'Brien) of North Beach, MD, Lee Smither Jr. (Kylene) of Clinton, MI and Eric Smither (Kayleah) of Clinton, MI. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church (302 Maumee St, Tecumseh, MI 49286). An entombment was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Park (32163 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
