He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Schirmacher and Darlene Schirmacher (Ettig). He is survived by: his pet Maverick; his wife Deborah Plate; his children, E. Fritz Schirmacher II (Julie), Jessica Trail (Rich), J. Ryan Schirmacher (Melissa), Andy Schirmacher (Angie), Spencer Schirmacher (Katie) and Gabriel Schirmacher (Carsyn); his sisters, Pam Eberenz, Denine Wells and Lisa Keesler; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Hannah, Gavin, Bailee, Parker, Chase, Ava, Mia, Emmy and Sofia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church (8743 US-12, Brooklyn, MI 49230). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Cemetery (8743 US-12, Brooklyn, MI 49230).
