She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lorenz Ahrens and Helen Ahrens (Schaible); her children, Kay Ferguson (Don) of Pinckney and Lee DeClaire (Penny) of Brooklyn; her brother David Ahrens of Lansing; her grandchildren, Nicole Triplett (Luke), Angela DeClaire, Kacie Ferguson and Gina DeClaire; her great grandchildren, Brantley and Finn Triplett; and her siblings, Jean Hieber and Arlene Walter. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
